Italy, Finland, and Sweden all planted roughly the same area as the previous year, but favorable weather this growing season boosted yields close to the record in Finland and Sweden, and matched the record in Italy. There was a dramatic change between last year and this year for Finland and Sweden since Scandinavia’s crop was damaged by overly wet conditions last year.
