By Mahima Katal The Finance Ministry on Friday launched a unified online portal to help citizens search and trace unclaimed financial assets such as bank deposits, insurance claims, shares, dividends, and mutual funds.

Developed in collaboration with the PSB Alliance, the portal aims to provide a single access point for individuals seeking information about unclaimed assets spread across the financial ecosystem.

According to the ministry, the portal — accessible at unclaimedassetsportal.in — is expected to improve public awareness, simplify access to information, and strengthen trust in the financial system. The initiative also aligns with the government’s vision of “Viksit Bharat 2047” by promoting financial inclusion and empowerment.

Department of Financial Services Secretary M Nagaraju launched the platform during a review meeting of public sector banks.

The ministry stated that the initiative builds upon the nationwide campaign “Your Money, Your Right”, which is being carried out in coordination with financial regulators, banks, and other stakeholders to help citizens identify and recover unclaimed financial assets.

Speaking at the launch, Nagaraju said the portal would enhance citizen convenience by bringing multiple search facilities under one platform and support ongoing efforts to reconnect people with their rightful financial assets.

The ministry described the Common Landing Portal as a significant step towards creating a more transparent, accessible, and citizen-centric financial ecosystem.
