New Delhi, July 7: Rajasthan Police, on June 23, raided a hotel in Sriganganagar and found a 13-year-old girl held captive. What the girl told police was harrowing: an allegation of gang rape by more than a dozen men.

According to the girl, she was raped by multiple men at different hotels over five consecutive days. Whenever she complained of pain from the repeated sexual assaults, the accused allegedly fed her alcohol to numb her - before assaulting her again.

When asked how she ended up there, the girl said a rickshaw driver had sold her. She was first held captive at one hotel, then moved to other establishments where the alleged crimes were committed.

'Hotel Owner Invited Men to Sexually Assault Her'

Police said their initial investigation revealed that the hotel's owner and manager had held the girl captive and invited multiple men to sexually assault her. The subsequent FIR (First Information Report) named the owners and operators of several hotels.

The incident sparked outrage in the area, with residents taking to the streets to demand justice for the minor survivor. They have called for strict action against everyone involved.

On Wednesday, city police demolished Hotel Khungar, Joy Inn, and Hotel Saffire using earth-moving machines, under heavy police and administrative presence.

The demolition drive was carried out in the presence of Sub-Divisional Magistrate Nayan Gautam, Additional Superintendent of Police Deepak Sharma, Circle Officer Vishnu Khatri, the Kotwali Station House Officer, and more than 50 police and administrative personnel.

Tight security arrangements were in place across the area to prevent any untoward incident.

The situation in the area remains volatile, with police on alert for any signs of unrest. As the investigation continues, more details are expected to emerge.
