New Delhi, June 19: A Pakistani national who inadvertently crossed the Line of Control (LoC) into Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district was repatriated to Pakistan after six days, the Indian Army said on Friday.
According to the Army's Chinar Corps, Asad Khan, a resident of Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, was apprehended in Simari village of Kupwara on June 12 after crossing the LoC.

In a post on X, the Army stated that Khan was handed over to Pakistani authorities on June 18 following the completion of necessary procedures.
The Army said Khan was treated with dignity and compassion during his stay in India, reflecting its commitment to humanitarian values and professional conduct.
"His safe repatriation underscores the Indian Army's ethos, responsibility and adherence to the highest standards of military professionalism," the Army said.
The incident highlights the established humanitarian protocols followed in cases involving inadvertent cross-border crossings along the LoC.
